queentaejin:
It must have been a good couple hours later by the time Faris woke up again. The sun outside indicated that afternoon had been reached. Faris yawned, and stretched, popping her jaw. She looked around and spotted her gloves, belt, and blue tunic sitting on a chair beside her bed. The events of the morning came back to her, and she quickly looked around the room for any sign of Queen.
That was when she spotted the fruit and water on the table next to her. Her stomach gave an unholy growl and she quickly snatched the fruit up, eating faster than was probably healthy. Ah well, living on a ship had left her with a strong stomach, eating too fast was far from the worst thing she’d put her digestive system through.
As she devoured the meal no doubt left by Queen, she wondered where the medic had gone off to. Despite what the other had said about “simply fulfilling her duty,” Faris couldn’t help but feel indebted for the kindness and professionalism she had shown. Faris wasn’t one to leave her debts unanswered for.
On top that, she had some questions for Queen as well. What had the other meant when she’d said she would know about Faris’s behavior and choices? She couldn’t be referring to the cross-dressing, right? From what Faris could see, Queen seemed perfectly in touch with her femininity so unless Queen was secretly a man (that seemed unlikely) Faris had no idea what common ground the other was seeing between them.
